At CareFlite, our mission is to bring help and hope.  Our IT infrastructure enables our teams of 911 Dispatchers, Nurses, EMTs, and Paramedics to perform their missions with all precision and efficiency that is required in emergency medical services.  We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who is eager to use his or her technology prowess across our infrastructure to” help us deliver our mission to our patients and our community.  In this role, the success individual will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

• Deploy and maintain essential IT operations, including endpoints, storage, servers, security tools, applications and operating systems.

• Responsible for the secure administration of:
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, and Public Key Infrastructure

o Windows PC’s, Servers, and datacenter equipment

o Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, Intune)

o Hyper-V environment with Failover Clustering

o Storage environment, including DFS file servers, iSCSI SAN

o Server applications, features, and roles (SQL server, NPS, Print, IIS, etc.)

o Endpoint security products

 

• Monitor and report system security, performance, and events utilizing System Center, Intune, and RMMs.

• Upgrade systems, patch and deploy OS and applications.

• Monitor and maintain software asset management, inventory and license tracking.

• Develop, document and implement operating procedures and participate in training as required.

• Manage backup/restore systems and processes for all servers and critical client systems.

• Advise and participate in the development of network systems architecture, design, and ongoing review of system configurations in collaboration with relevant team members.

• Respond to and troubleshoot issues and outages

• Participate in the "on-call" rotation.

• Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of five years' experience in Information Technology in an advanced administrator role
• Exceptional knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy
• Demonstrates strong knowledge with PowerShell and scripting processes
• Experience administering Hyper-V virtualization, Failover Clustering, and network storage
• Experience with of M365 & Exchange Online
• Experience automating with RMM
• Strong SQL server administration
• Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
• Create and maintains good technical documentation.
• Patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

 

MINIMUM CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Windows environment, excellent Active Directory/Group Policy/PKI demonstrable skill

· Microsoft Hyper-V

· Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM

· Server technologies: File Servers/DFS, Print Servers, SQL Server, NPS

· Experience with RMM

· McAfee disk encryption

· Experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Dell Servers & PCs, and network printers

· Knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations

· Windows scripting and PowerShell

· Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills.

· Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well independently.

· Must possess above average organization skills, excellent communication skills, and can demonstrate problem solving skills.

· Considered an out of the box thinker and displays a willingness to learn.

· Ability to effectively communicate and resolve internal and external customer issues on all levels of the organization.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

•  Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Work requires extensive work using a computer.
• Responsibilities may require evening, night, and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported. 
• Requires participation in on-call support on a rotating schedule. 
• Some travel required to remote office locations.  
• Occasionally required to lift or move up to 45 pounds.
• Periodically visits remote facilities to perform maintenance, deployment, installation, inventory, etc.
